Today I changed my mind. I thought Tangerine would be enough for me, but if I opened a Tangerine account, I couldn't get a credit card. So I decided to open a Scotiabank account instead.

Tangerine is very easy to open because it's an online bank, but there's no guarantee for people with a new working holiday visa. So Scotiabank seemed like a better choice. Scotiabank is one of the biggest banks in Canada, and that's one of the reasons I chose it. Most of all, Scotiabank owns Tangerine, so the two are well connected. If I open a Tangerine account later, I can easily use ATMs anywhere.
But today was a national holiday, so the banks were closed and I couldn't open an account. I just bought some Energizer items at Shoppers. Rose told me Shoppers is pretty expensive, but there are a lot of items on sale. So if I need makeup products, I think I'll go to Shoppers.

After that, I registered my Compass card online. Then I came back home and slept a lot. A little later, the device I ordered arrived, so I unboxed it right away. It was pretty satisfying. It's a Boox Note 6C, and I think it's quite a successful purchase in Canada. (A few weeks later, I realized that the product wasn't as good as I expected. Studying on paper is the best. Nevertheless )
Canada had a holiday, but Korea was still working, so I had to work at my desk. Even though I renewed my contract under the same conditions, my working hours have gotten longer. I can feel it. That's why I'm writing this diary at 1:30 a.m.
October could be the last sunny season in Vancouver. I would love to go to Quebec, but I'm not sure I can, because I decided to start my ESL class on October 13. Only two weeks of freedom are left. I want to see a lot, eat a lot, and feel what Vancouver is like. Peace.
